Mission Statement

As REALTORS®, we sell and market more than individual homes, land or businesses; we also sell quality of life. This quality of life extends beyond the legal boundaries of our property. To our customers and clients, as well as other members of the public, the community where the property is located is as important as the property itself. Because a community's land-use decisions directly affect its quality of life as well as the price tag the public must pay for it, we have a responsibility to promote sound land-use practices and policies which create more livable communities.

In recognition of this responsibility, the New Jersey Association of REALTORS® (NJAR®) supports land-use policies that create affordable and desirable housing, promote the development and protection of productive industries and farms, and preserve a healthy environment and an unparalleled quality of life for New Jersey families and their future generations.

The foregoing is a general statement concerning a research program. Specific programs and criteria for grants will be established from time to time.
