The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) requires that members complete Code of Ethics training every four years. December 31, 2008 is the deadline for this cycle of training.

During ethics training, REALTORS® may be tested on the Preamble and Articles of the Code, which include treating all parties honestly in a transaction and presenting a true picture in advertising. Held in a board meeting, seminar, or online format, the Quadrennial Ethics Training program focuses on the REALTOR® Code of Ethics through case studies and review quizzes.
