NJAR® to Offer SFR Course
NJAR® will be offering the course, “Short Sales and Foreclosures: What Buyers’ Representatives Need to Know” on Monday, April 19 at the NJAR® Office in Edison, N.J. The course, which counts toward the Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) certification and as an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) elective, helps REALTORS® to evaluate available options for distressed homeowners and to identify the components of an effective short-sale package. Participants will be able to counsel buyer-clients in the purchase of foreclosure properties and explain how consumers can avoid foreclosure in the future. For costs and registration information,

Announces GRI Class of 2009
At a ceremony during the
Triple Play REALTOR® Convention
and Trade Expo in Atlantic City on
December 10, 2009, NJAR®
presented 16 brokers and 48 REALTORS®
and REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®s with the
Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI)
designation.
GRI is a nationally recognized designation
attained by members of the NATIONAL
ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) after
successfully completing a rigorous 90-hour
program of course work covering various
areas of real estate including: ethics,
technology, business development, financing,
fair housing and legal issues.
Additionally, members may choose to complete
the GRI Broker Course. The course is
comprised of the supplemental courses that,
along with the GRI designation, satisfy the
education requirements for the New Jersey
