RPR, Capitol Hill and More in July New Jersey REALTOR®

July’s New Jersey REALTOR® magazine is all about the tools that work for REALTORS® and the work that REALTORS® do for the industry. The feature, “Don’t Fear the RPR” gives you all the details you need on the new REALTORS® Property Resource (RPR), from debunking some common misconceptions to teaching you how you can use it to your best advantage. This issue is also chocked full of information on NJAR® member’s recent visits to Capitol Hill and the critical legislative issues affecting real estate. Access the issue online or search for a specific article using the New Jersey REALTOR® Database.

New REALTOR® Database Connects Buyers and Sellers with NJAR® Members

A new member benefit available through www.REALstoryNJ.com will allow consumers to locate and contact REALTORS® across the Garden State. After using the Get the REAL Story® website to educate themselves on the real estate market in New Jersey, potential home buyers and sellers can use the REALTOR® Search function at www.REALstoryNJ.com/realtor_search to find a REALTOR® with certain designations or skills that best match their own needs. Most of the information in a member’s profile will be derived directly from the National REALTOR® Database System (NRDS), including name, nickname, office name, office address, office phone number, designations, and e-mail address. As a member of NJAR® you will also have the opportunity to further customize your profile at no cost by filling in a cell phone number, website address, languages spoken, specialties, coverage areas, and by uploading a photo.

For our members' protection, we have taken steps to prevent scraping of e-mail addresses from the profile pages. Consumers will be able to send an e-mail to a member using a web form that generates a message to the e-mail address in the member's NRDS record. The consumer will not be able to view a member’s e-mail address. In an effort to respect the privacy of our members, however, the REALTOR® Search database also allows you to opt out of receiving said e-mails. Members should contact their local board or association to update their e-mail address or any other contact information.

Some things are better left to a professional. Why not make it easier for a potential client to find you and get the expert guidance they need? We encourage you to look up your name on www.REALstoryNJ.com/realtor_search and complete your profile today.
